Wishtree Technologies developed MyUNHCR E-Services, a comprehensive, web-based digital platform, to address the challenges faced by UNHCR in managing asylum processes and providing accessible information to refugees.

What we did:

• Centralized digital platform: A user-friendly portal providing multilingual information on asylum rights, procedures, and responsibilities tailored to each of the 130+ countries served.

• Dynamic form builder: A custom-built, rule-based form builder empowering administrators to create, manage, and publish dynamic application forms.

• Automated appointment scheduling and case management: Integrated calendar and scheduling tools allowing refugees to book appointments, with an internal evaluation algorithm automating appointment prioritization.

• Real-time notifications and communication: Implementation of AWS SNS for push notifications and SMS alerts, and AWS SES for email notifications.

• Secure document management: Integration of AWS S3 for secure document storage and retrieval, facilitating digital submission and access for both refugees and UNHCR staff.

• Scalable cloud-based infrastructure: Deployment on AWS Cloud Infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and global accessibility, with Redis for caching and session management to optimize performance.

• Advanced security and compliance: Implementation of OAuth-based authentication with multi-factor authentication (MFA), data encryption in transit and at rest, and MongoDB v4 with sharding and indexing for secure and efficient data management.
